HOW TO REGAIN THE LOST FOCUS?

In case you tend to lose focus, then, train your mind to go through 5 foundations of thinking:

[01] ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ด๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—น, sooner you will gain focus! Itโ€™s like a deft carpenter or their apprentice whoโ€™d knock out or extract a large peg with a finer peg.

[02] Despite your efforts to overcome negative, non-supportive thoughts keep coming, ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐˜€: โ€˜So these thoughts are unskillful, theyโ€™re blameworthy, and they wonโ€™t help you to achieve your goals.โ€™ As you do so, those bad thoughts are given up and come to an end.

[03] Now, suppose that you are examining the drawbacks of those negative, non-supportive thoughts, but bad, unskillful thoughts that donโ€™t support your goals keep coming up. ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ.. As you do so, those bad thoughts are given up and come to an end. You mind become focused in your goals. Suppose, some undesirable sights came into your range of vision. Youโ€™d just close their eyes or look away. In the same way, if you are focused โ€ฆ you should give up such negative thoughts to regain focus.

[04] Now, suppose that you are ignoring and forgetting about those thoughts, but negative, non-supportive thoughts that donโ€™t support your goals keep coming up. ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐˜€.

[05] Now, suppose that you are focusing on stopping the formation of thoughts, but bad, unskillful thoughts that donโ€™t support your goals keep coming up. ๐—ช๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต, ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฑ ๐˜€๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜‡๐—ฒ, ๐˜€๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ต, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ. As you do so, those bad thoughts are given up and come to an end. You gain focus. Itโ€™s like a strong man who grabs a weaker man by the head or throat or shoulder and squeezes, squashes, and tortures them. In the same way, a you โ€ฆ with teeth clenched and tongue pressed against the roof of the mouth, should squeeze, squash, and torture mind with mind.

As you do above, those bad thoughts are given up and come to an end. You regain your focus!
